Description
A number of you already know my heart is about GIAGANTOR sized when it comes to animals. Specially needy ones. My cat Max was a stray in a temp home before he came to me and my son- I helped feed other people's animals when they couldn't afford to... and all throughout childhood I brought home animals.
At the beginning of the year you might remember me posting a panick'd post about finding a tortie kitten, not being able to keep her because my sister was allergic- and that there were a number of shelters that were no kill and were -full- and couldn't take her in the area.
I got lucky when animal control called me back and gave me the name of Animal Welfare League Up in Chicago.
You know- everything comes full circle right?
So I had brought the kitten up to Animal Welfare League and dropped her off with kitten food and stuff- and since she was well mannered, litter trained and had gained TWO pounds since she had been fostered for 10 days with my family ( skinny kitten was SKINNY)- she was probably going to be placed.
I had taken a number of photos of the cat that hadn't come out good. But I really liked the kitten- hoped she found a home- and used them for the scratch board you see above.
Which I finished the day before I had gone to school on Monday at the local junior college.
Where ... lo and behold up on the wall in one of the hallways was a poster with about twenty five animal pictures on it of available to adopt animals who had just been spayed by the vet techs in training.
And mid-row I saw the face of the kitten I had brought to the shelter.
Gives me hope.
- any and all proceeds of the sale of this picture will be donated to Animal Welfare League. So that other kittens, cats, dogs and rats like Charlotte without a home- have the chance to find one.
Pay it forward - pass it on. *gives everyone hugs*

Good luck. I hope she finds a home. I have a big heart too (I am fostering two rescue kittens right now who also need a home). Your story is simply amazing. Animals rock.
