In the middle of summer....

I know I've been lack as of .. like.. the last year and a half? with art. Hopefully soon to reconcile situation, thou... for a while there the desire to draw things and share them sorta keeled over and died a spectacular death. This is actually turning around.

It's not -easy-. I've completely lost the finer touch-senses in the tips of my fingers due to the torture that is having the flesh split because I was my hands in a dry-cold enviroment ... many times... during the day at work. The nerves kinda have told me to 'f-off'. This sadly doesn't have the added benifit of not feeling the pain thou. It's like have splinters and open wounds under your nail bed.. for five out of seven days... and if you get salt ( or blood from chicken or pork) in the wounds... it's unforgettable.

It makes art hard.

That said! I do have doodles I will be uploading along with a trade that I'm working on.

... I'm wandering in and out here for awhile. No guaruntee that I'm going to have art to show- or even keep up with the watch list of doom. I have not been feeling social- a lot of things have happened and are still happening- such is the way of living a full life.

the car is finally fixed. Thanks to my roommate who helped to pay for the fixing... otherwise this mom would've been in bad shape-mucho srsly.

Right now I'm being 'fought' over between two stores looking for a fulltime journeyman. Both are working on bringing the fulltime position open as soon as possible- because it would mean a guarentee of forty hours ( yeah all this time working forty and I'm only a parttimer... not that I MINDED that at all but with hours getting cut like they are? I'm only working 24 hours next week.. and .. I really can't afford/live off of that at all.. ) .. and a raise comes with it. One store's fulltimer is out on sick leave- so they can't put the position open right away, the other store ( my home store ) is working on getting the lead right now to step down because he hasn't been stepping up to his repsoniblities .. whereas I have. Also getting " you can't leave meeeee! After all the time and effort I put into you, you think I'm gunna let you just waltz outta here?! " from my current boss when the inquiry about the fulltime at the other store got back around ( butchers and wrappers are a very small tight-knit group.. gossip travels FAST, doesn't matter if you live fifty miles away.. everyone knows what's going on within two days... ) ..

medically there's a possiblity of something being ' wrong' with me that we're trying to figure out. I have to go to the doctor and see if I don't have something going on with my thyroid... and check to see if I"m anemic while they are at it. Go me. ( I'm not diabetic! .... mom checked me with her machine and I ended up at 98!! yay!)

and my child is ... three... and he's already writing a thank you note. With yanno some direction of which letters to write next.. but he wrote one himself. ( yes I'm doing the mother preening thing.. XP ) .. I haven't been very much online, or very active with it at all ... I've been tired, and sorta [link] at onlineness lately. Don't ask me why, I dun't know. Thou I suspect there will be more activity now that the holidays are over ( .. working.. retail... christmas... holymolely....and it DOES take this long to recover from burn out) .. had several trips these last two months... one to see my parents ( which I haven't seen my mother in two years, and my father in one year, my aunt in about five... my one cousin in fifteen .. you get it ) .... and see person in Oregon.

So this is a splice of life in yanno .. a minute and a half ( depending on your reading speed) ... please everyone in a handbasket take care of yourselves ( going to try to keep track of peoples... you do not want to see my inbox .. ) ... and thank you .

In other news. My car is finally fixed. I'm running around the city doing a lot of work for other shops.... ( car wasn't working for three weeks.. -.-... grrr I say .. GRR) ... I went down to Tuscon to see my family ......... some of which I haven't seen in 15years, with my son.

Managed to hit the gem show.......... and desperatly want to go back...

They had a rose quartz SPHERE that was bigger than what I could put my arms around.. metorites, star saphires, raw lapiz lazuli, amthest catherdrals, stalagtites, fossils!..... if you shook a stick ? .. it was there!...

XD;; I also happened to kept being mistaken for a dealer.. >.>.. because of additude I guess, and what I was looking for, or something, so kept getting told I got fifty percent off down there.. ^_^... <.<;;; gods I wish I had the money .. but taking taxi rides for the car ATE MY ALLOWANCE.... as was I got loot... couple strands of pearls ( two dollars a peice ) strand of labadorite, and a strand of jade. A slab of secular ( the shiney " magic" ( as my son calls it ) with the sparkles ) hemitite, a smoky quartz point that has small nearly sand size garnets speckled all over it and a cluster of vanadite. ^.^..... also at the desert museum picked up some pyrite ( .... never... had... any ... until now.... how sad is that? it's EVERYWHERE) ... some raw malacite, and calcite... and on the trip to the desert found a bit of mica... ^.^ .... can you say " ROCK HOUND?"...

cold of death ended up being broncitis. I've never had broncitis... and having to have a mask over my mouth and breathing in steroids was a new frightening experience I hope not to have again.
broncitis is BAD when you work in food. REALLY bad when you work in the meat dept.

Not only is that whole " OMFG SICK PERZONZ!!!" happening..... but .. you just DON'T get better.. and I had angry doctor glaring and getting a talked to about my health.. ; I'm more than used to 'stubborn myself through this" until it dies slowly... and not realizing how badly I was until the doctor could tell what side I slept on.. becuase he could hear how much fluid was in one lung compared to the other.

It took weeks to recover from that fully.

I was bad enough that all i did for about a week and a half was ... drink water, take meds, go back to bed. codiene cough meds fucked me up and I STILL can't lift 60lbs or throw freight like i used to.

dead-fucking-tired. most of the time. Hiding. I kinda like the breathing without a struggle thing.

this all leads to a spectacular art death.
